SA: Labor seems sure to form new SA govt with Lewis support = 3
Mr LEWIS says he has signed a compact for good government with the Labor Party.
But he says he is determined to maintain his independent status and will not becomea formal part of any government.
He says the Labor Party has become realistic and recognises the responsibilities it has got.
But he says Labor will certainly not enjoy his unconditional support over the nextfour years and he will withdraw his support should Labor fail to meet the conditions inthe compact.
