FED: Bikie violence grows around the country

Police say a bashing murder and a possible payback arson attack in Sydney may be the latest
instalment in a campaign of violence involving outlaw bikie gangs.

Comanchero PETER LEDGER'S battered body was discovered splayed in the driveway of his
ex-wife's Erskine Park house around 9.30pm (AEST) on Wednesday.

Just over 24 hours later a deliberately-lit blaze ripped through the Rebels' dwelling at
south-western Leppington, completely destroying the bottom storey.

Some have linked the fire to current upheaval in South Australia where the Rebels are
embroiled in a turf war with rival gangs.

Homicide detectives in Sydney say they are examining the possibility Sydney bikers have
been involved in the Adelaide trouble.
